ode to high school- part 1- haiku

bio diploma.
sledding helped to ease the stress.
fifty-three percent.

i'm headed back to the north country.

come on home Lisa Brown. you been rambling too long. lay your head and weary bones down. come on home Lisa Brown. I hear your mama callin' you. she feels she knows what to do. she says its time you westward bound. so come on home Lisa Brown. you hung your head in the cold Gaspe. i guess thats the way it oughta be. then you headed out to the old east coast cause, thats the life you love the most. may find yourself in Mexico. that may be the way to go. sweet senior tequila too. your younger days are leaving you. look further on down the road. the story must be told. and there'll be those who fret and frown if you come on home Lisa Brown.
you been rambling too long. so get on home, come on home, git yerself back, Lisa Brown.

oh I love the Rankin Family.

and maybe i am exaggerating, and only been away from home for one year, but I'm just a little girl! and I love my sweet Alberta prairie soil. forever and ever amen.
today i applied to Grant Macewan.. for what you ask? TRAVEL. ya, travel. (i could be a travel agent.. among other things.) wtf is my problem. mid-life crisis i guess you could say. quarter life. I just wanna stay close(r) to home. Please don't anyone take it personal if i don't go back to Hawaii. Pleaaaaase.

anyways. I hope the Research Station calls me back and gives me a freakin job. I think I am driving my mother up the wall with my crazy antics (sleeping in 'till noon is awesome). I've only been home a week MOTHER. let me catch up first!
anyways.. later skaterz

why would i want to be anywhere else?

good question. it's hard to decide what to do with myself. but I think i've decided for sure that i'm coming back to the 808 in the fall. for SURE. I've told everyone i am. and then either i will go to Ecuador or school in edmonton. help help! so many life decisions!
I swam with sharks and my friends are here. and sharks are my friends too. I am really excited to go home. I miss lucy and family and I found out how pineapples grow. out of the ground, but not like carrots. who knew? It's my turn to shower. lates.

sad day.

I miss carrie speed and michael P. schoneman. they left me for california. what's california got that i don't? I got sunshine, and i got water. and surf. and i got humor, and i know how to party. so why'd they leave?
I am having a real hard time with this canada/hawaii dilemma. i think i'll talk to my counsellor tomorrow.
my academic counsellor that is, although i could really use a psychological one at this point too.
also, i am done with school and am impatiently waiting until tuesday when my b's get here. yeeeeaaah booi.
and i'm really good at being creepy, and i had a dream about mike and the masterpiece, and karl made good yams tonight.
these yams are GOOD.
night everyone. miss you.

golden tribute.

Well, I took my edu212 final. I thought I did great! I got 92 on my research paper and 100 on my practicum. Shoots bra, I'm ballin'! My dear sweet teacher even made us cinnamon buns! What an angel he is! I now only have rel235 ('achieving an eternal marriage') and math212. STATISTICS! yikes. So come this saturday, I'll be free.
I am kind of freaking out because I don't know if I'm coming back to Hawaii in the fall. I have no idea what I'm doing. but i am really really trying hard to leave it alone until i go home. I'm kiiiinda leaning toward Canada, but only because I would get to drive MIDAS! aaagh I LOVES THE MIDAS!midas was around before you were born. You were probably not even fertilized yet. he was around way back when Zac hadn't even left for his mission yet. he still had his grill fully attached at this point even. Midas that is.There's me and my baby boy. in MY drive way. with MY birkenstocks. Here he is again, just showing off. showing off how good he is at off-roading. made it out alive, didn't we? AM radio blaring and dashboard hula girl shakin' her hips to the music. I can't get enough of midas. he treats me so well.

Remember when I got midas for my 18th birthday, and we went to lethbridge to get my birks and food for a bbq? Then I hit jerks-a-camel and he's all.. "oh, that hole in my bumper? it was already there. oh your grill fell off? well my cars fine. perfect. see ya later!" what a great birthday that was.

Two in one.

Blogging is the new showering. Maybe even the new studying. No, definitely the new studying because I'm blogging, not studying, the night before my EDU212 final. Fundamentals of Education can slam it in the door. :)
Tina thinks my blogs are boring. She can slam it in the door too, for all I matter.
Okay, that was harsh. I'll be good.
Today at worked I saved this guys butt and found these 2 assignments on his computer he thought he lost when it logged him out. He has black skin. Nerd alert. Me, that is.
Speaking of which, elite dance parties in biology classrooms are my new fav. Maybe check out the vid of Karly's 21st b.d. on her page. Mike Schoneman is the only reason I am still breathing. Probably. I am piiiissed that he can't make ME a birthday video. I also think I wil suggest to him that he gets a blog.
This is stupid. I am stupid. Nobody cares about this crap. I'm just procrastinating studying. DAMNIT JESSICA.

I thought we were family!

First things first: I apologize for that intense type-o last entry. I'm sure you all figured it out after re-reading it. Secondly, who am I even apologizing to? How about if you actually read this blog you comment on it. Or don't, I'm not picky.
Recently I traveled to the island of Kauai. It was way better than Oahu and the company was phenomenal! Carried Speed, Pehrson Hawkley, and Michael 'Sean' Schoneman. What a great combination. Check us out, checking out a bamboo forest whilst hiking the Na Pali Coast. If you ever go to Kauai (which is just a 20 minute flight from Honolulu! Up down.) I suggest you do it. It's BEAUTIFUL. I wish I woulda took better pictures, but I always feel like such a burden when I slow down a group who is trying to accomplish a goal by something like taking pictures. I feel like they wouldn't understand! Ha. Stupid Jessica.
On another note, Tina, Angela, Kyra, Breanne, Lindsay Eakett, and Sherwood are coming to visit on TUESDAY the 22. Fetch man, that's the best news to mine ears. Maybe second only to the fact that I'm done school on saturday. Let's pray that I pass stats. Maybe get a C? That would be nice. I would definitely take a C. Seeing how I got what... 61% overall in Math 30? I WILL TAKE A C AND I WILL LOVE IT.
My dog ISNT having puppies and I'm pissed. And I don't consider hell and damn as swear words, so DAMNIT.
auf wiedersehen for now. (I just googled that and copied and pasted it. I can't spell in German, doi.)

Whale tale.

I never regret skipping class. I NEVER do! So you can imagine how I didn't feel when I skipped psychology today and went to Waimea. Because not only did I soak up some harmful UV rays, but i saw a WHAAAALE. A full blown, (get it! haaa. ha.) bonafide whale. Probably humpback, they're having babies this time of year and come to shallower waters (I think.) It made me wanna drop outta this elementary ed major and become so animal... guy. No just kidding, I am really excited to be an elementary school teacher. don't take any time off and plug along for 3 more years, I should be graduated by Fall 2011. I talked to my academic advisor today, and if I HOLY CRAP.

GRANDMA AND GRANDPA DUDLEY ARE HOME! Man, I can't wait to go see them. April 30th baby, April 30th.
April 22= my bff's forever are coming to visit! My brains are protruding out my ears I'm so excited. That reminds me, I better go start on the itinerary I'm writing up. Over and out.

Pups.

A dog's gestation period is 63 days. So if Lucy is pregnant now that means she should be having puppies around May. SWEET. I'm selling one and putting it towards my college education fund. Aaaalright!

This photo was taken on July 25th (the day Tanner left for the MTC) at Writing on Stone Provincial Park. Featured is Lucy herself, along with Max and Susan Erickson.
