almost-not-a-teen wish list dramas

06/06 is a special day for me. it's the day i turn 20. and i couldn't think of anything good i wanted for my birthday. when i was at home for a while, i used my moms sonicare toothbrush everyday and it made my teeth feel soo clean and fresh and noticably whiter! so i thought maybe i wanted one of those. then i thought... that i have never owned a hair straightener. a fact about me is that i just never do my hair. sad but true. am i a girl? i think so. prove it, you say. FINE! a straightener is on my birthday wish list. ok.. 2 years ago my greatest friends got me a pair of birkenstocks. and in hawaii i wore them every day and i wear them everday when the weather permits. so you can image the state they are in.. so then i thought maybe new shoes would be great. THEN i get an email from ticketmaster telling me that aerosmith and zztop are going on tour, and its currently the presale! so then i thought i might like that. then i changed my mind when i saw that the cheapest ticket was 115 bones (+tax!). then i saw that xavier rudd would be in calgary on july 5, and decided THAT might be great. but then... while at best buy with blake, hanging on the net talking to my mom.. i saw that the calgary folk music festival would be rolling around in july. i thought back to when i went to the edmonton folk fest with mango last year... and how much i loved it. so i checked out the artist lineup. each week until May 14 they have announced one artist that will be there and guess who is on the list.... iron and wine? yes. but thats not what caught my attention...

now i don't expect you to get excited about that, but she has been a part of my life since forever. she reminds me of waterton in winter and byu-hawaii. she is like home to me. i love her, and so does my dad. so we are going, and thats final.
