lazy jezebel

well i have been home about three weeks now.. here's the update:
i am no longer going to school for unit clerk. silly jezebel can't make up her mind. we will see where the winds blow her now. working when needed at the hardware store is filling up her calendar for now. and by filling up i mean not really.

so the grandma jammies this year were phenomenal.i guess you probably wouldn't understand if you have never been to waterton. and if you're not a dudley. the point is, i love them and i love to be a dudley.

and this year was the first in 41 years that the Raymond Sugar Bowl basketball tournament was not held in the Cultural Hall. the new high school gym was the location. and it was just like old times. Raymond lost 104-107 in the final, but alls fair in love and war...?

and Payton got his mission call to Indonesia. this actually happened in november. but he leaves February 25, speaking indonesian of course. he is my best buddy. we even dress the same!i love my puppies even though i'm allergic. after this photo was taken my lungs closed up and i had to be rushed to the hospital and have an i.v. the works. ya, it's that bad. but my parents told me it's me or the dogs. ruff life. (i made a joke. ruff... as in bark. get it?) (and that whole hospital thing was a lie. but i really am allergic.)

tis the season

i am going home in 9 days and it's weird! I'm sad.. is that so wrong? I will miss my little Boise family! but I also am really pumped to a) see my FAMILY, b) play with my DOGS, and c) enjoy some SNOW. I truly do love So Ab.
I have just been doing the usual.. plus playing with my new found friend Blake! took us three days and a little bit of dramas to get christmas lights up on the house. but all is well! and christmas is practically here! for FHE on monday, we went and got a REAL tree. i haven't had a real christmas tree since i can remember. we had a little bit of dramas with that as well.. tree tilting every which way, falling over, ornaments breaking, broken tree stand. but now we're set and I'm so excited! Lucky for me Kara is as gung-hoe as my family at home, and she's got christmas music playing all the time. today we are starting to make chocolates too! it's really beginning to look a lot like christmas. YAY!

because brian loved diane

yesterday was my grandpa dudley's birthday! he is the best. he is the hardest working man I know. this summer he helped my mom build a new deck on our house. he is always making neat stuff, and his next project is a cedar chest for me. him and my grandma put together.. well, you are always in for a treat. I LOVE my family and I am sooo thankful grandma and grandpa fell in love and made a bunch of kids, who then made kids, who are starting to make their own kids! we have some awesome memories. when I was in grade seven I lived in the Northwest Territories with them for a month and a half. I loved it! and i still love them.
-dog sledding
-mini family rodeos
-july first pancakes for grandma's birthday
-grandpa's crazy stories. if they're true or not, we'll never know
-grandma's love for the gospel and serious knowledge!
-going to grandma and grandpas house at lunch with payton in high school.
-mornings at grandma and grandpa's when i was little.. walking to the T and back with calypso.
so there you have it, just some memories/things i love/reasons why i am excited to go home in 22 days!

tag'd?

amy tagged me a long time ago to do this.

seven random things about me:

I. i like to suck on ritz crackers until they are really soggy. then i squish them through my teeth. what inspired me to finally do this tag was when i was eating crackers actually. which is right now.

II. my favorite snack of all time is a peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwhich dipped in milk. i love soggy!

III. i just love to sit in my bed. sit in my bed and eat, sit in my bed and read, sit in my bed and write in my journal, sit in my bed and talk, sit in my bed and make ridiculous crafts.

IV. i, like my beloved sister, am a mega clean freak. my room pretty much has to be clean ALL the time, especially for the amount of time i am in there. sitting in my bed. and i HATE when there is crap on a wood/lino floor and you get it stuck to your feet. so sweeping is important.

V. i don't really like to watch movies. and when i do, i would rather watch one i've already seen and know i'm going to like. my all time feel good movie of the century is Elizabethtown. LOVE IT.

VI. i'm sort of bi-polar. watch out for those mood swings.

VII. if i knew absolutely nothing about the gospel and had no idea what was right and wrong i would probably have a quarter sleeve and say bad words all the time and do crazy drugs. it's a sick fantasy of mine. but i'm a good person i swear!

i tag: all ya'll! karly, ashley, jane, nate, zac. thats all.

hand-me-downs

If this is the only way to keep the kids occupied on a sunday afternoon, than by george, I'll take it! (even if it means searching through all my stuff and finding things to give the kiddies. Josh- some random steve nash jersey. why the heck did i have it? Tatym- an old purple sweater. Piper- a kangaroo stuffed animal.)

Tatym is really interested in politics lately- today she asked me if America was still going to be free, because Obama is ending the war.

I should really get into politics.

itty bitty blessing

october 25th, 3am or so, cooper tim dudley came into the world! we are so happy to have him here, and mother and brother and sister have been bugging me for pictures. so here we go!josh- sooo pumped to have a little bruth!

also: today after fhe i was in wal-mart, and as always, i wandered over to the 5 dollar movie bin, not really counting on finding anything good. some man, dressed in baggy clothes with lots of red hair and a big red beard, was talking to his friend, saying something about "it's only five bucks!" i stop by the bin and he turns and looks at me and says... "are you five bucks too?"
call him a creep. tell him to take a shower and mind his own business. but it made my day.

prairie boy.

a picture may be worth a thousand words, but seriously, a fourty gig memory card and the fanciest canon could not describe the pure ecstasy i felt after this night.
-the smallest venue. like, 40 people and the hurtin' albertans.
-3 bucks!
-21 and older ONLY. but the kind doorman let me in! i love him
-i was right within arms reach for the entire encore. truck got stuck, counterfeit blues, and others.

the iphone was the only camera we had on hand. and with all the fancy crap those things have, you would think the camera had a flash. aaah well.

i just had the hardest time falling asleep that night.
corb really gets me.

the honk honk and the vroom vroom

it's no midas, but he'll have to do!
hooray!

i wanna be in the cavalry.

so i'm checking my e-mail the other day, and i see in my junk mail one from the corb lund band fan club. i love corb, so i open it. oh joy, i think to myself, he's just announcing tour dates, none of which will be anywhere near where i am.

BUT WAIT! WHAT IS THIS?! BOISE IDAHO!?

i almost died. it made my month. he will be playing a small venue this saturday, and for only three bucks! i don't have any friends in boise, so i'm going by myself. but let me tell you, i couldn't be happier.
not to mention the bsu vs. hawaii game TODAY, and kara's mom is here helping out, so i get a break! my life is gooood.
here's my boy in july 07. me and tanner went to see him in calgary and it was awesome!

the big picture.

i love the feeling that someone has always got my back.
on september first i was really questioning why i was in boise. there was things at home i was missing out on; puppies being born, parties with friends and family get-togethers. i was really sad that i wasn't going to be there to see max go through his first year of high school, playing football and everything! (such a mother hen..) and of course you all know my patriotism to raymond. you just can't keep me away.
but now, a lot of stuff has happened, and this is where i ought to be. aunt kara has been put on bedrest, due to complete placenta previa. which is when the placenta is completely covering the cervix. aka. ROADBLOCK. nothing is getting out. so... automatic c-section. and any pressure on the placenta could cause contractions, early labor, and essentially a premature baby. all of which is bad news for her november 24 due date.
did i mention we moved into a new house? oh, because we did. i've been packing up crap for a few weeks now and on saturday everything got moved to the new place, 3 blocks away. it's so so pretty. a million windows with the BEST view of the hills. (i think my room has the best view. tehe.) today we got most of the stuff put away and its starting to feel like a home.
so i guess that's what i've been up to. feeling REALLY good about my decision to move to boise. i have to give all the credit to the Big Guy though. he really knows what he's doing!

dreams.

not the aspiring kinds. not the ones you have when your a kid, to grow up and swim with mermaids and ride on white unicorns with rainbow tails.
not even the kinds you have when you're sleeping. when your subconscious and the toast and hot chocolate you had before bed make you believe, for a second, that you're family moved across town and your new neighbors are made of chocolate.
i guess i'm not really talking about dreams. i guess i'm taking about nightmares. of which i have been having a lot of lately. i don't know what it is about boise, but it's freaking me out.

wednesday, october 1- carrie speed, ashley dudley, karly zobrist, and other hawaii friends. here in boise. driving down one of the little streets on our way home from downtown/ the chiropractic office. one of those streets where there is only cute, cottagey houses and a million trees. the road has 2 lanes. i spaced out while driving, and swerved into a car driving beside me. when i hit it, i thought it just took off my mirror and made a scrape on the little black volkswagon golf (my dream car. literally i guess.) fixable, i thought. but then i looked over, and there was a decapitated female hanging out the driver side window. it was gore. blood and guts. her head was almost completely detached from her neck. blood everywhere. her arms looked like all her bones where shattered. bent every which way. and a man in the passenger seat, just sitting there, looking at her. i stared at the woman... cars on autopilot...

and then i woke up.

grow up and blow away.

my latest trip to hawaii. i miss it. and everyone. i miss the roaches. funny, i started writing "i will miss it." like in future tense. but wait a second. i already do miss it. it's not mine anymore. it's not my vegas house with my roommates. I DONT BELONG ANYMORE! what the heck? how did this happen. why can't hawaii be the place i'm meant to be? no, the real question is why can't the vegas house follow me around and live wherever i live, and share my life plans? Answer: Jessica, you don't HAVE any life plans. and also, the cards are not dealt like that. no favors. man. why can't someone just tell me what to do? SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

quit your whining drama queen.

trophy wife.

I did it! I am officially a prize woman. Any man would be lucky to have this. BECAUSE I can fillet a fresh mountain bass. and i DID. Caught it, cut it, cooked it. did everything but smash its poor little brains with a rock. I'm not ready for that yet. Thanks to papa squat I will be able to feed my husband the delicious food he deserves. I may not be able to cook a roast, but i can cook a bass! Any takers?

I only kill to eat.

everyone had a piece.

hooray for the world.

ouchie mama.

Took a spill I did. I guess that's what you get for being nice to your cousins and playing with them. La dee da, leading the horse around the arena with the youngins riding. "I WANNA RIDE IT BY MYSELF!" (At this point my patience had reached its limit.) So I reached under the horses bridal... bridal?.... and tried to attach the clamp to the other thing so the horse wouldn't raise it's head. The child, being just that, was messing with the reigns and the horse took a side step and there I was, IN PAIN.

little did I know how DANG MUCH the ring block would hurt. NEEDLES. how i hate them. Monette can testify. apparently I bit her? Oops. I screamed like a little baby. AND RIGHTFULLY SO. but i'm healing up nicely.

so that's that.
