ode to the who

fruits and vegetables taste nice. so it's convenient that they are good for you. it's good to sit and eat a juicy fruit. especially surrounded by beautiful mountain majesty in your favorite t-shirt, hand tye-dyed by your favorite Jane.

and i like that people still like me even though i do things like this. and i like that there is more than one use for poop, besides lighting fires with it. uuuuh.. not sure exactly what i'll do with it. maybe put it in a frame? representing overcoming trials? naaah. probably just send it to tanner. hopefully don't get put in jail for poo trafficking to australia. i just wish the bag wasnt plastic. maybe 100% recyclable hemp seed oil.

now check out this avalanche. wiped out the trail. BAM. easy peasy getting from red rock to goat lake, but as soon as we even attempted to make it to the peak this is what we met. how can the elements be so cruel?! seriously. today i bet you're sitting in your room on your fancy laptop comfy and warm in your favorite fluorescent yellow sweatpants listening to your 8G ipod mini, and tomorrow you could be shopping for things that got burnt to a crisp that dont even MATTER because they could be gone in one second. ttfe- TA TA FOR EVER. bye bye. so don't even get attached to all that crap you material lovers, or you will regret it. great and spacious building here YOU come. (okay okay, and me too if i don't smarten up.)

I stole this from Facebook.

It is the Jack and Janice Stone family home up in flames, the weekend of July 1st. that's what stemmed this sudden realization of the AWESOME world that we sometime/ALWAYS take for granted. I couldn't NOT just bawl as i stood watching every memory be swallowed by flames that this family had ever known. PICTURES and the familiar smell of the carpet and funny old wallpaper. antiques and hand-me-downs and journals and wallets and EVERYTHING. i just broke down when I heard the glass shattering, realizing that everything was gone-zo. probably one of the saddest things i've ever seen. So really, what is the use? we're not here to see who can get the coolest stuff and who can spend the most on a fancy new house, cause WHO CARES?!? it's definitely the who, not the what.

MY TOP 3 FAVORITE WHO: Jesus. well, he's tied with Heavenly Father.. and nobody feel left out because you're all connected.
Tanner Hinman. ya ya, I know. but it's true.
Scott and Susie Erickson and family.

Naturally not in any particular order. I'm just really gunna start trying to be a little more aware of what I am blessed with. cause goodness knows, I got a lot!

that's a pretty crazy feeling watching a house burn of someone you know, I think you described it well though. Intense. And great mountain view shots btw.
